Educational Supplement: Master’s $1.60/hour; PhD $3.19/hour

As an Instructor in our Practical Nursing program, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of nursing education. Reporting to the Chairperson, you will develop and deliver curricula, evaluate student performance and engage in various administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruct students in clinical settings.
- Develop and modify course objectives, course outlines, curricula and evaluation procedures.
- Maintain all course-related records, including evaluations and attendance, and submit required information.
- Prepare and organize course materials and learning resources.
- Share passion and knowledge of the nursing profession with students.
- Apply enthusiasm to classroom management, student evaluation, academic advising and related administrative duties.
- Stay well-informed about the role of the CLPNM, the Practical Nurse entry-level competencies, scope of practice and other regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Relevant post-secondary nursing education and significant industry experience in acute care.
- Experience teaching in an adult environment is highly desirable.
- Experience teaching theory, lab and clinical courses, as well as experience using Moodle, is considered an asset.
- Appropriate nursing credential and other relevant post-secondary education.
- Registered and in good standing with CRNM, CRPNM or CLPNM.
- Solid understanding of program and curriculum development, Indigenization and decolonization of curriculum, classroom instruction, assessment and evaluation, student advising and group facilitation.
- Well-developed technical skills, particularly in Microsoft Word.
- Highly developed communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of the Practical Nursing team.
